In the article titled 'Edmonton Book is a Great Christmas Gift or Winter Reading Activity', by photojournalist Heather Andrews Miller, Tardif was described as a "gem in the literary world".
Tardif is the author of Divine Intervention, the 'psi-fi' suspense thriller that has been compared to Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb's 'In Death' series. In 2003, she wrote the emotional mystery, Whale Song, a novel that has become a hit with adult and young adult readers. Whale Song is now being considered for a movie option by a leading Canadian film producer.
Cheryl Kaye Tardif, who was recently nominated for the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Arts Award, also wrote a public service announcement for a racial harmony campaign. Her PSA script, One Voice ~ One World placed third and aired on cable channels in Alberta. She was published in small Canadian newspapers and penned two regular columns in BC. God Bless the Soldiers, a poem dedicated to the Gulf War soldiers, was published by a New Brunswick newspaper, and another poem, Lost Innocence~A Dunblane Tragedy, was published in an American anthology.
In November 2003, Tardif was featured in The Edmonton Examiner, and later appeared on Shaw TV Red Deer, RDTV, and Shaw TV Edmonton. In November 2004, she was a guest on CJSR's "Liquid Chatter Talk Radio". Born in BC, Canada, Cheryl Kaye Tardif was an 'army brat' and an 'army wife', and has lived all across Canada. Now residing in Edmonton, Alberta, with her husband, Marc, her daughter, Jessica, and the family dog, Tardif considers herself an "Edmonton author" as Edmonton has been the place she has lived the longest, and the place she calls home.
Tardif is already working on her next novel, The River, a gripping techno-thriller that is both thought-provoking and terrifying. She has also started Divine Justice, the second in the Divine mystery series. Tardif and her daughter, Jessica, are working together on an anthology for teen girls, TAG, You're IT!
