KENT, ENGLAND, November 05, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Over GBP300 was raised for charity by the Eastern Point Branch of the international, financial services organisation Foresters. This led to great award success for the volunteers at Foresters UK's recent London & Southern England Regional Ball held in Bexleyheath, Kent.
Despite the theft of their trailer, used for the transportation of aluminium foil and cans to the recycling centre, the Branch was still the most successful in collecting the most foil, not only in the London & Southern England Region but for the whole of Britain with 799kgs raising GBP302.61. This money was donated to the Lowestoft branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
Branch President Richard Finch from Lowestoft also won the Photographic Trophy for the best pet photograph of his dog Winston. Past Branch President Richard Morling also of Lowestoft, was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for the Best all round Public Relations Liaison Officer for the year.
