SURREY, ENGLAND, November 08, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- So it's nearly here already, Christmas Day 2011. As mums and dads, aunties, uncles and siblings across the world wonder what to get and how to save some money in these times of recession, we reviewed the "Best Christmas Games 2011" which will not just entertain the whole family at Christmas, but will also keep everyone occupied for the rest of the year.

There are so many different games being advertised. Everywhere you look more games and toys are being placed in front of our eyes to ensure we don't forget the spirit of Christmas. But how can we ensure we are getting our money's worth and it won't be another game put back in the box until 365 days later?

First of all, we researched some of the "Best Christmas Board Games 2011". There's a new game in town called "iMaginiff". Currently available from all major toy stores and also Amazon this board game is one for all the family but can also be used for adults at dinner parties or other social gatherings making it an all-rounder rather than just a Christmas game. At around $10 this could be a great buy although it does have a shelf life if the same people keep playing.

Next we looked at the "Best Christmas DVD Games 2011". Top of the list appears to be "Match Game". Coming in at as little as $10 this seems to be a bargain. Designed for the slightly older person - who can remember this game from the 70s? - it would appear more suitable for adults but again can be played throughout the year. But what about the kids? Well for them we found a good all-rounder to be "Scene it? Magical Moments Disney DVD Game 2". This game can also be played all year long and especially at birthdays when it will keep the younger ones occupied for an hour or so. At about $14 again it's not too expensive and can be used year-round.

Then we reviewed the "Best Christmas Floor Games 2011". Top of the shops for this was the old favourite "Cranium Hullabaloo". Again this game can be used all year round and is great for the whole family. It's slightly more expensive and you could pay anything from $19 - $23. Those who reviewed this product felt it was an all-round family game and good value for money.

The "Best Christmas Electronic Game 2011" was slightly more difficult to find, Amazon's own "Electronic Catch Phrase" came out well at around $25. Described as a cross between Scrabble, Pictionary and Charades it should keep everyone occupied and involved, but might be seen as a bit expensive. If you're after something on the cheaper side but just as enjoyable try "Radica 20Q Artificial Intelligence Game" at between $5 and $10 depending where you buy.

Finally we looked at the "Best Christmas Video Games 2011" and the winner was "Tribes 2". At under $13 this game will keep your teenagers occupied for hours. It's not really a family game but the levels should keep your young people from going stir crazy this Christmas holiday.

All these products can be found on Amazon who are currently running some great sales on these "best selling games" on the lead up to Christmas.
