    CHESTER, ENGLAND, November 16, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- "The survival of the Eurozone is integral to the prosperity of the UK," says the Per DM CEO. Jesse Young goes on the say, "As the world's largest economy and the chief destination for UK exports, the Eurozone is indeed too big to fail". It is becoming clear that there is going to be no quick fix for the Eurozone's debt crisis. The markets seem to have given up on Greece and focus has been turned to Italy which has a accrued a debt 120% its GDP.

The Per DM CEO sees the abdication of George Papandreou to Lucas Papademos in Greece and Mario Monti's appointment in Italy following Silvio Berlusconi's resignation as important steps in avoiding economic disaster. With Lucas Papademos as the former vice-president of the European Central Bank, and Mario Monti as a former European Commissioner for Internal Markets, Customs and Taxations, the newly appointed prime-ministers may be described as veterans of economics. "Their appointments should be able to restore market confidence", insists Jesse Young. "They are two highly respected and proven economists, who are removed from party politics. This is crucial in making tough decision" the Per DM CEO went on to say.

While indeed, the appointments seem economically logical, it is important to remember that neither of these new leaders were elected by the people. As Jesse Young notes, "At a time of social unrest, particularly on the European continent, it is important that the leaders gain the support of the people, only then will Italy and Greece be able to implement the measures required for recover".

The problem for the UK, insists Jesse Young, is that it can do very little to affect the events in the Eurozone. "Whilst indeed the choice that the UK made in 1999 to stay out of the Euro, has protected it somewhat from the full force of the the Eurozone's woes, it nevertheless prevents it from being able to influence key decisions, that will ultimately effect its own economy", the Per DM CEO argues.

The Per DM philosophy is to keep going. Jesse Young believes that despite Europe's economic crisis, there is no need to change this attitude. "London is still seen as the economic capital of the world", says Jesse Young. "It is important that the UK performs its function as one of the world's leading economies and plays a role, however small and insignificant it may seem", he went on to say.

With market confidence key to the economic recovery, it is important that the UK, whilst protecting it own interests, is seen to support the important decisions that will be made by European leaders in the near future.
