CHESTER, ENGLAND, December 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Following the breakdown of the deficit reduction talks in the US, Jesse Young of Per DM, along with many others, has reservations about the ability of US politicians to unite in their efforts to reduce America's colossal debt. Jesse Young, CEO of Per DM Group, a leading outsource sales company, sees the threat that this poses to small businesses and start-up companies. "Without a clear path forward, many business owners will be apprehensive about their future," explained the CEO. The failure of the Super-Committee to agree on deficit cuts is yet another sign of the United States' frustrating political divide. Whilst indeed the breakdown of recent discussions does not pose the same threat as those seen in August where failure to come to a consensus almost resulted on a US default. "It nevertheless does nothing to alleviate the stress that the US economy is under," explains Jesse Young.
Failure to ultimately reach a compromise would mean that 'across-the-board' cuts of $1.2 trillion, which were pre-prepared by the Obama administration, will come into effect from 2013. Half of these cuts will target the Pentagon and the US defence budget, a huge bone of contention for the Republicans. This will likely only further divide both political and public opinion. For business owners it prolongs the uncertainty," said the PerDM CEO. "Failure to solve the current debt problem will ultimately hinder small and start up businesses from growing and progressing," he went on to explain.

As the US celebrated thanksgiving, many in the business world will be hoping that it will serve as a lesson to its politicians. "Without consensus from political leaders, it is very difficult for the us as the public to understand what direction we are heading in. It is therefore imperative that political goals are secondary to public interest," Jesse Young went on to explain.
