HOUSTON, TX, December 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Slab Doctor, a local Houston foundation repair company, will be donating $25,000 in foundation repair services to deserving recipients in the Houston area. The company is seeking to give back to the community in a big way.
Record droughts in and across Texas have ultimately caused severe foundation problems by causing the soil to shift and wreck. When the weather is hot and dry, the soil shrinks a great deal and causes the most movement. Intensifying and contracting soil stresses foundations over the years to the point that they crack. Due to these conditions, calls to foundation repair companies continue to soar, as the problems are often inevitable.
A local Houston resident, Michelle Smith, stated "Our home was affected by the drought and needed foundation repairs. Unfortunately, these types of damages are not considered perils and are not covered by homeowner's insurance. It can be costly."
Owner of Slab Doctor, Bob Arlan, stated: "We wanted to give back in a way that will truly help someone in need of our services. Our donation of these repairs is our way of doing that."
If you know of a worthy local Houston family or organization that is in need of foundation repair and would like to nominate them, please either send an e-mail to [email protected] or go to: http://www.slab-doctor.com/giving-back, click on the "submit" button and fill out the form.
