After a good night's rest, guests can wake up for the official Feb. 2 Groundhog Day celebration, when everyone will discover if Punxsutawney Phil sees his shadow, signifying six more weeks of winter. Groundhog Day is celebrated every year on Feb. 2. According to folklore, if weather is cloudy when the groundhog emerges from its burrow, he'll leave the burrow and winter weather will soon end. However, if it's a sunny day and the groundhog sees his shadow, he'll retreat back into his burrow and winter weather will continue for six more weeks.
