Lyne Bouchard Facilitates Meeting Challenges and Change at Sherbrooke University



    LA PRAIRIE, QC, CANADA, December 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lyne Bouchard, Ph.D., Vice President of Information Technology and Vice President, Longueuil Campus, at Sherbrooke University and Corporate Board Member, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in educational administration.

With expertise in business strategies and operations, and the goal of facilitating the meeting of challenges at the university, Dr. Bouchard has been the vice president of information technology and vice president of the Longueuil Campus at Sherbrooke University for the last two and a half years. In her role as vice president of IT, she is responsible for IT for the entire university, including the management and evolution of, the IT infrastructure, back office, human resources, finance and student management systems. In Longueuil, she ensures that the right environment is available for professors to deploy their teaching and research activities. Dr. Bouchard supports the definition of additional teaching and research projects, and she also works to establish partnerships with regional businesses and other members of the community.

Dr. Bouchard's positions fits her perfectly, enabling her to employ her IT and management backgrounds. It has also provided her the opportunity to combine her love for academics, IT and business. Attributing her success to her dedication and passion, Dr. Bouchard started her career as a professor and researcher at Laval University where she received tenure. She subsequently left to become a consultant and coach. She has nearly two decades of experience in her field.

Dr. Bouchard earned a Ph.D. in management from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors and serves on several boards. Dr. Bouchard has received the Gold Medal bestowed upon her by the Governor of Canada. In the future, Dr. Bouchard intends to continue to be a change agent.
