/24-7PressRelease/ - SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 08, 2007 --- Today at the Game Developers Conference 07, Aria Systemsand Online Game Services (OGSI)announced a strategic alliance in which Aria's game-optimized billing and customer management platform will be integrated with OGSI's proven game hosting and management services.
The partnership between OGSI and Aria will enable game developers and distributors to take advantage of highly scalable, technologically advanced infrastructure and sophisticated back-office functionality early in the development of single games, or in support of multiple titles managed on a single platform. The companies plan to offer their services on a "lifecycle adjusted" pricing basis to accommodate the economic reality of product development and beta testing. The fees will ramp up once a game is live with active subscribers. This flexible infrastructure approach manages any "spike" in resource requirements during peak registration periods and addresses the economic challenges of the product beta.
"We are pleased to share a number of successful clients with OGSI today" said Ed Sullivan, CEO & Founder of Aria Systems. "This partnership was the next logical step in Aria's efforts to deliver billing and customer management that is optimized to meet the unique needs of online games. Together our two companies offer all that's needed to get a game from development to profitability in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible."
The two companies are currently working on several joint contracts that will be announced in the near future.
"This partnership with Aria is a significant step for OGSI as we continue to develop our range of integrated services for games companies," said James Hursthouse, CEO of Online Game Services. "Our 'pay-as-you-grow' platform has many synergies with Aria's payment processing system and we think the combination is extremely compelling for game companies large and small."
Both Aria & OGSI will be holding meetings with prospective during this week's Game Developers Conference. To schedule a one-on-one consultation or demonstration, contact Fran Grady via email at [email protected] or visit OGSI in the IBM Booth - booth # 438 (West Hall) during the GDC Expo & Tradeshow.
