Metal braces can have either silver or gold wires and are known as colored braces with changeable elastic o-shaped rubber bands. The Invisalign treatment system is a series of custom-made, clear aligners used to gradually straighten teeth without metal wires and brackets. Patients will change out their aligners every two weeks and visit the orthodontist for a new set every four to six weeks. They can be removed to eat, drink, brush and floss.
