DUBLIN, IRELAND, January 20, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Hollywood legend Al Pacino will be among the stars taking part in this year's Jameson Dublin International Film Festival (JDIFF).
The veteran actor is set to introduce the Irish premiere of his new film Wilde Salome, an experimental documentary that re-examines the life and work of Oscar Wilde.
More than 130 movies will be screened during the tenth edition of JDIFF, which is due to run at venues across the city from Thursday February 16th to Sunday February 26th.
Another feature of this year's festival is the return of Untitled, a screenwriting competition that received an impressive response when introduced in 2011.
Writers are invited to submit a one-page summary for a feature film with the theme of '1916', with five shortlisted entrants going on to pen the first few scenes of their script before presenting it to a panel of industry professionals.
Ticket details and the full programme for JDIFF 2012 will not be published until early February, but excitement is already building in the Irish capital.
Festival director Grainne Humphreys commented: "The festival is honoured to present the Irish premiere of Wilde Salome - a new film by one of the world's greatest screen actors."
