/24-7PressRelease/ - ENCINITAS, CA, March 16, 2007 - The program is designed to enhance the quality of life, reduce stress, pain, the discomfort of chemotherapy and provide deep relaxation through the use of Tibetan Singing bowls, breath work and guided visualization. Certified in Tibetan bowl sound healing, through the State of California and Sacred Sound Workshops, Diáne Mandle of Leucadia, CA., will lead a small group through four weeks of instruction teaching them to use the instruments on a daily basis in their healing process (instruments will be provided for home use between classes). A soothing sound healing meditation featuring Tibetan bowls, bells and gongs will be offered at each session.
In June of last year, Mandle was the guest performer at Sharp for National Cancer Survivor Day. The response to the concert featuring Tibetan bowls and other sacred sound instruments was very positive and the springboard for the May program.
Mandle explains that healing through sound is a movement from disharmony to harmony; a spiritual awakening with a profound impact on the physical body. As we awaken and our perspective shifts, a domino effect ensues that also shifts our perspective, our vibration and our cellular make up. The shifts cannot occur as separate entities- -they affect the whole of who we are and extend infinitely. This transformation of consciousness is the foundational principle of the ancient Himalayan Singing Bowls. Tuned to the vibrational frequency of the Sanskrit mantra 'AUM', the sound of universal perfection, their sound reawakens in us our connection to the universe . Their frequencies gently penetrate and calm the body/mind, balance the hemispheres of the brain, initiate the relaxation response and decrease, fatigue, pain, stiffness, and emotional tension. It is not uncommon for a person to feel completely transported to another dimension while being aware of that which surrounds them.
Mitchell Gaynor, M.D., Director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine at the Strang-Cornell Cancer Prevention Center and author of 'The Healing Power of Sound', has been utilizing sound in his practice for over 8 years. He says: "Sound can redress imbalances on every level of physiologic functioning and can play a positive role in the treatment of virtually any medical disorder."

She maintains a private practice offering an integrated system for healing which includes Sound and Polarity Therapy, Toning and Visualization.
