SINGAPORE, January 25, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The M1 Singapore Fringe Festival will be returning in February 2012, bringing the best of contemporary art to the Asian nation.
Running from February 15th to 26th, the event is organised by the non-profit theatre company The Necessary Stage and will focus on the theme of art and faith for this year's edition.
The festival promises a diverse programme of theatre, dance, music, visual arts and mixed media performances and exhibitions, all with the intent of engaging audiences with the central theme.
Highlights include Cane, a re-enactment of a controversial 1993 performance art piece called Brother Cane, as well as the dance show [Black Square], the art installation The Triple Gem and the photo exhibition Iraq is Flying.
Much of the work has been commissioned especially for the festival, with artists such as Loo Zihan, Sean Tobin, Jason Wee and Teater Ekamatra contributing.
Tickets are available online now for the various performances, with discounts available for students and senior citizens.
This represents the eighth edition of the popular event, which is already scheduled to return in January 2013.
