Cognac Wellerlane Attends Cocktails That Care

    COPIAGUE, NY, February 04, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Long Island Exchange columnist Cognac Wellerlane attended an event hosted by the founders of Cocktails That Care, a not-for-profit organization that raises money for various causes while entertaining guests. The event, held January 9th at the Libation Lounge on lower Manhattan's Ludlow Street, was designed to support the new off-Broadway production entitled "Dog Park." Animal lovers from many different celebrity circles were among those who attended.

Wellerlane began her interviews by speaking with hostess Bridget K. H. O'Brien, a specialist in PR Events and co-founder of the charity along with Tiffany Troiano. O'Brien explained that the event was organized to benefit two causes, including animal rescue and care. She informed that an American Idol finalist was also among the A-list attendants.

"Tonight we are giving our proceeds to a new play," O'Brien explained after speaking to Wellerlane about the upcoming "Dog Park" show. According to O'Brien, the show is set to premiere on January 23rd and is expected to play until the end of February with affordable ticket prices. "My number one passion is animals and pets," spoke Bravo's Fashion Hunters reality television star Jane Pontarelli. Along with Karen Biehl from "Doggie Moms," Pontarelli informed Wellerlane that she has always been an animal lover. When asked what projects she was working on, Pontarelli spoke of benefits for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the website playforpink.com. Biehl, a pro-bono coordinator at a law firm, spoke of working on a television pilot and benefits for the American Cancer Society.

Concluding her interviews, Wellerlane spoke with Christina Scali from Oxygen's Jersey Couture, which is set to air February 7th. When asked about the show Scali responded, "new dresses, new family, new drama," and spoke about a new jewelry line, cookbook, radio, and magazine.
