HOUSTON, TX, February 06, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Prairie lands in Fort Bend County continue to be the natural choice for new-home communities. Beazer Homes and Taylor Morrison have joined forces to develop Churchill Farms, a 209-acre community in Fulshear, a small town in the greater Katy area west of Houston. Model home construction and presales will begin in February.
Churchill Farms will have three model parks to showcase Beazer Homes and Taylor Morrison product lines available in 50-, 60- and 70-ft. sections. Both builders are introducing new floor plans at Churchill Farms. Some of the models will open in mid-April with the grand opening of all six models planned for mid-May.
Amy Haywood, vice president of sales & marketing for Taylor Morrison, said Churchill Farms is being developed in three phases. Phase 1 has approximately 187 home sites; Beazer and Taylor Morrison have 93 lots each. Nine (9) 70-ft. home sites are on the lake and several homes in the 50-ft. section will have views of the smaller lake at the entrance. Thirty-three (33) home sites in the 60- and 70-ft. sections border a natural reserve/drainage creek. Remaining sections will add 385 homes over the next five to six years, a 3-acre park and other amenities.
According to Jamie Betts, vice president of sales and marketing for Beazer, Churchill Farms will be one of Beazer's new premier communities opening in 2012 and will be an impressive addition to the Katy area. Beazer will unveil brand-new floor plans in all product lines, including the three models.

Beazer homes in the 50-ft. section are priced from the $180,000s to $220,000s, with 1,600 to 2,800-sq. ft. Floor plans from 2,200 to 3,800-sq. ft. will be available in the 60-ft. section at prices ranging from the $220,000s and $290,000s. The 70-ft. series is priced from the $290,000s to mid $300,000s with 2,700 to 4,500-sq. ft homes.
Some of the new plans coming to Beazer at Churchill Farms include the Armstrong, a 2-story plan with 2,329 square feet that will be featured in the 50-ft section. The Whitney, a 3,294 square foot 2-story home with 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, loft, family room and formal dining room. In the 70-ft section, Beazer will offer spacious floor plans including the Queensbury with 3,823 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, study, formal dining and living, and additional storage space. All of the new floor plans have abundant options and features so that plans can be customized by buyers.
Taylor Morrison homes with 1,820 to 2,550 sq. ft. are priced from the $180,000s to $205,000s in the 50-ft. section. Homes in the 60-ft. section are priced from the $235,000s to $285,000s with 2,204 to 3,421 sq. ft. The 70-ft. section will offer homes from 3,268 to 4,076 sq. ft. priced from the $300,000s to $340,000s.
The Pinehurst, a one-story plan with a 1/2 story media room option, will showcase Taylor Morrison homes in the 50-ft section. The 60-ft. section will feature the brand-new Meridian plan with 3,594 square feet, five bedrooms, 4.5 baths, game room and media room. The 70-ft section will introduce the Camedon, a two-story plan with 4,114 sq. ft., 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, game room and media room. The models will feature Taylor Morrison Interactive Home high-tech packages.
The entrance to Churchill Farms is on FM 1463 south of Katy-Fulshear Road. The entrance monument will incorporate distinctive features on a 1.9-acre lake. The primary feature is a 30-ft. high stone silo with water spout. A bricked community marker designed to emulate rolling land completes the monument.
At the center of Churchill Farms is a soft edge, 10-acre scenic lake with fountains. Phase 1 includes a 2.5-acre recreation center on the lake consisting of an open-air pavilion, Olympic-sized swimming pool, playground, walking trails and resident parking. Construction of the recreation area will begin this Spring with completion in late Summer 2012.
