DUBLIN, IRELAND, February 09, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The St Patrick's Festival will bring a four-day party to the streets of Dublin once again next month.
Due to run from Friday March 16th to Monday March 19th, this year's event is set to feature a combination of music, sport, culture, family activities and plenty of the city's famous 'craic'.
As always, the centrepiece of the celebrations will be the St Patrick's Festival Parade on Saturday March 17th.
This year, the parade will take on a scientific motif to reflect the Irish capital's year as the European City of Science.
The theme of the procession is entitled 'How? What? Why?', with participants using their costumes to explore scientific conundrums such as how rainbows are formed and why people have dreams.
Marching bands from around the world are due to assemble in Dublin for the parade, with troupes travelling from the UK, Russia and the US.
The parade will begin from Parnell Square at 12:00 local time, before making its way along Patrick Street and finishing just past St Patrick's Cathedral.
People visiting Ireland for the festivities can browse a large number of Dublin hotels at LateRooms.com, which recommends the Hampton Hotel.
