Comparing how long it would take a manager to complete these tasks manually and with computerised payroll software, it was clear that the computerised methods can save almost 10 minutes per employee. When multiplied to more employees, payroll software can help the manager improve efficiency considerably, in the case of a small business with 50 employees the saving would be a staggering seven hours and fifty five minutes.
