Largest IP-Based Voice Trading System Verified Using Amazon Web Services Cloud

    SINGAPORE, February 15, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Infinet Financial Systems (IFS), a leader in the development and application of IP to Trading Room voice, today showcased its latest solution, the Adaptive Trading Platform (ATP), delivering Turret functionality to 4,750 positions.

The implementation was achieved using Amazon Web Services (AWS) technology infrastructure services and deployed using a methodology that allowed the 4,750 positions to be distributed over the world's financial centers of New York, Chicago, London, Singapore and Tokyo, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud.

This meant that the implementation mirrored closely the Trading Rooms of a typical global institution and was able to provide a set of important use-cases to demonstrate the typical call patterns on a Trading Floor, including monitoring and measurement of connect times, clear down times, together with information on status and usage of the network down to the individual traders' desk.

"The results clearly show our platform, the ATP, works just the way a major Trading Room needs it to work," said Huw Williams, CTO of IFS. "The use of Amazon Web Services allowed us the flexibility to scale and stress-test the ATP as if it were implemented on a floor larger than any that actually exists in the world today. We were able to make sure that calls could begin and end at any point and could be manipulated in the way that we wanted. The implementation was closely measured and showed a total of 39,000 calls taking place across all the positions - that is an average or over 8 simultaneous calls at every single position. Needless to say, the ATP architecture worked as specified and it validates our belief in its distributed nature."

The deployment and its results were shared with representatives of PTS Consulting K.K. and EIRE Systems K.K. as a source of independent verification for the results.
