LONDON, ENGLAND, February 23, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reverb, a programme of special events dedicated to contemporary classical music, will soon return to the Roundhouse in London.
Running at the Chalk Farm Road venue from Friday February 24th to Sunday March 4th, the line-up of concerts includes appearances from the London Contemporary Orchestra and singer-songwriter Imogen Heap.
The programme will kick off with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, which is due to perform extracts from Hector Berlioz's Romeo and Juliet in an evening presented by The Night Shift.
Conducted by Sir Mark Elder, the 90-piece orchestra will recreate the sounds of 19th century Paris that inspired Berlioz's complex choral symphony.
The concert is due to take place on February 24th, with tickets priced between GBP5 and GBP25.
Two nights later, Heap will team up with UK choir the Holst Singers to perform an a cappella soundtrack to The Seashell and the Clergyman, a 1928 French surrealist film.
On March 3rd, visitors will be able to enjoy the London Contemporary Orchestra playing works by some of the 20th century's greatest composers. There will also be music from Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood.
