NEW YORK, NY, February 26, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- It is now scientifically well established thanks to a host of pioneers like Daniel Goleman that emotional intelligence is as important as regular intelligence. We at the 4th R Foundation have discovered that emotional intelligence and regular intelligence are both fully integrated components of human intelligence. Each is incomplete without the other. Each is insufficient without the other. They are like oxygen and hydrogen which compound together to make the water that is human intelligence. When well developed, each improves the other and when undeveloped or misdeveloped, each drags down the other.
Our education system is a mess because while our education tools are cutting edge when it comes to educating our regular intelligence we not only neglect and ignore emotional intelligence education we even miseducate our emotional intelligence. Thus the compound human intelligence in the vast majority ends up partly uneducated and miseducate.
The objective of our education system has to be to create the best humanly possible human intelligence in each and every human being; the best possible self/consciousness/I/mind/brain. The question is what specific education tools do we develop to make man as educated as one can be. This specific goal is to create education that makes human intelligence as super mature as possible; on a mass scale.
This is the tragedy of our entire education system. We believe education is about becoming knowledgeable when it is about becoming. Knowing is essential but not enough. Knowing is only half the component of education, the other half is becoming. Knowing is the domain of the mind and becoming is the domain of the brain. So we teach our minds and we we not only leave the brain uneducated, we miseducate our brains.
Even in terms of regular intelligence education like math and science the highest stage of education is about becoming! We earn our PhD when we become worthy of becoming doctors, not just by having knowledge of the subject. When it comes to emotional intelligence education it is absolutely essential that emotional intelligence education create the highest developed emotional intelligence as an integral being of every student.
The big question is what is emotional intelligence and how can it be taught.
Emotional intelligence is one half of the integral component of human intelligence. Human intelligence is incomplete, miscomplete and miseducated without fully developed emotional intelligence. We at the 4th R Foundation have found that emotional intelligence is to the brain what blood is to the body. At the undeveloped/uneducated and/or misdeveloped/miseducated stage emotional intelligence is ignorance and at the highest developed/educated/nurtured stage emotional intelligence is wisdom. We have also found that wisdom is the cover word for the attributes of selflessness. Ignorance is the cover word for selfishness. Thus super mature emotional intelligence is selflessness and the lowest uneducated/miseducated emotional intelligence is selfishness.
Emotional intelligence education is very clear: it is educating the brain to become selfless. As most humans are brought up with some level of selfishness, emotional intelligence education is about de-educating the brain of selfishness.
Super mature emotional intelligence is selflessness and selfishness is premature emotional intelligence. Thus emotional intelligence education is selflessness education which is mostly removing selfishness from the human nature of man.
We already have 1200+ papers on emotional-intelligence/wisdom/brain/mind/consciousness/self/self-image etc. It is now time to start teaching all the components of human intelligence; both regular education and emotional intelligence education.
Our education system must create the tools to produce top class human intelligence in every student.
Regular education is about survival, making a living etc. In today's terms it is about making a prosperous living. Thus the aim of regular education must be to create wealth producing machines, unlike today where we force students to become at the very least jacks of all trades. We need to make every student a top professional expert in a particular field.
Emotional intelligence education is about living a wise life which boils down to creating selflessness as an integral being of every student.
