GO Global CEO Foresees Growth of Outsourcing in Mid-Market Sector

/24-7PressRelease/ - MIAMI, FL, April 03, 2007 - As millions of baby boomers exit the workforce over the next decade, U.S. companies will get used to outsourcing to skilled workers in China and India, as well as Eastern Europe and Central America, according to Cheryl R. Frank, CEO, GO Global , a business process outsourcing (BPO) company based in Miami, FL.

While business process outsourcing (BPO) has been an accepted practice in large companies, mid-sized firms have been slower to accept the idea. "Smaller companies are more reluctant to change because it takes effort and the right personnel to manage the transition," says Frank. "Gradually business owners are appreciating the benefits of contracting out routine office functions."

Outsourcing is not a new idea. It began in manufacturing in the 1960s and '70s and has spread across almost every facet of the organization. Companies like Citigroup, General Electric, and Microsoft have established specialized centers offshore where they send more complex business functions.

GO Global is working with mid-market firms that are being affected by the increasing costs and burdens of managing back office operations. "We are still in the early stages of a burgeoning industry, but outsourcing is already in high gear and very much a part of the business lexicon," comments Frank, who opened a BPO center in Guatemala for data processing and F&A functions. "There are exciting opportunities and pitfalls as well, to be sure."

One of the pitfalls is the transition to outsourcing. While BPO allows companies to concentrate on what they do best and reduces overhead by as much as 60 percent, the transition is difficult and usually requires a consultant. "Every company has different issues, and solutions have to be customized," she explains.

As a tax attorney and CPA, Frank works with many mid-market companies that need to implement turnaround strategies to remain solvent. "Outsourcing is one solution to put in place the best talent at the lowest price. The decision has to be a strategic one, however, because top management has to make a commitment to the process," she says.

The transition period to outsource finance and accounting functions is usually about six months, but the savings after two years can exceed 60 percent.

"Essentially the BPO provider becomes a global partner to help streamline business and increase innovation and profitability," adds Frank.

GO Global has offices in Miami, FL and Bethesda, MD. The company recently launched a nearshore data processing center in Guatemala. Founded in 2006, GO Global is dedicated to providing both simple and more complex financial services -- from accounts payable and receivable to sales order processing and financial reporting.
