Stacey E. Watson, MD, Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Health Care Administration

    KALAMAZOO, MI, February 29, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Stacey E. Watson, MD, Vice President Clinical Care Integration for Borgess Health, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in health care administration.

Having practiced internal medicine for 12 years, Dr. Watson moved into administration to focus on improving medical practice, coordinating care and meeting goals for quality health care. She now serves as the vice president of clinical care integration for Borgess Health. With expertise in process management, she works with outpatient clinical sites and supports implementation of electronic medical records. She also oversees quality improvement and management of chronic conditions, and ensures continuous improvement of flow through the health system. Dr. Watson attributes her success to her ability to identify her strengths and determine how to proceed in the right direction.

In 1992, Dr. Watson earned a Bachelor of Science from New Mexico State University. She went on to attain an MD from The University of New Mexico in 1996 and complete a residency in internal medicine. Her professional affiliations include the American Medical Association and the American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Watson is married and the mother of two children. In the years to come, she plans to obtain an additional certification or an MBA.
