If the 24-year-old German star does claim the championship again in 2012, he will become the youngest three-time winner in the history of Formula One.
 
Local fans are expected to be out in force for the event, as there are currently three teams with links to Malaysia - Mercedes AMG Petronas F1, Lotus F1 and Caterham F1.
 
Tickets for the Malaysian Grand Prix vary in price, depending on where fans choose to sit. Ruby category seats in the main grandstand north - upper section are available for 1,323 (GBP276).
