CORK, IRELAND, March 04, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Club aiming to win the East Kerry O'Donoghue Cup Championship and be promoted to Division 1 of the Kerry County League is Kilcummin GAA. Located in the heart of East Kerry just a short distance from Killarney Town, Kilcummin GAA has a rich history of success at Underage level and provides many Kerry teams with plenty of football talent. So for the 2012 season Kilcummin GAA has set their goals high.
Ronan O'Connor, who has returned to Kilcummin GAA after a three year absence, believes that to succeed within a competitive environment the players must all work together and focus on the same goals. Blue Steel Acquisitions reveal Ronan, who holds a qualification in physical fitness and conditioning for athletes, says that the fresh hopes and determination of players at the beginning of the season must be given the right guidance and support. "Most football teams and players that I have been involved with throughout my playing and management career focus way too much on the end result, as in winning the championship, and not enough on the actions that they need to follow in order to hit that goal." Ronan suggests that instead of focussing on one big result, a team will be much more successful over the season if every player is set small weekly goals to achieve.
Blue Steel Acquisitions, who sponsor Kilcummin GAA, also believe that the key to succeeding in a competitive environment is to work from a common goal. Blue Steel Acquisitions is an outsourced sales and marketing company that specialises in face to face customer acquisitions and retention, with offices based in Cork and Killarney. Managing Director Sarah Bennett was recently awarded recognition for high achievement within the outsourced sales industry, and Blue Steel Acquisitions won the award for the business turning the most profit in outsourced sales. Sarah Bennett puts Blue Steel Acquisitions success down to setting ambitious goals, working hard to achieve them, but most importantly having fun while they work. She says "Working together to achieve a common goal is really important. Success in business is no different to success in sport. Setting goals and targets to hit helps to ensure you stay motivated, achieve your full potential, and will guarantee maximum results."
So for Kilcummin GAA and Blue Steel Acquisitions setting high goals for 2012 will ensure that this is their best year yet.
