KINABALU, MALAYSIA, March 13, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sabah Art Gallery will be showcasing the work of some of Malaysia's best-known artists at its forthcoming Invitational Artists Exhibition.
The event begins on March 15th 2012 and will see established artists invited to demonstrate some of their most recent artworks, with the exhibition scheduled to draw to a close on April 27th.
Its aim is to honour the efforts of artists who have made significant contributions to the growth of the Sabah art scene over the years, with paintings, carvings, sculptures, installations and more all likely to be featured.
In the past, Sabah Art Gallery has played host to works from creative Malaysians such as Jims Bin Abarkis, Zaimie Sahibil, Corinna Ho, Lee Nee Ping, Charles Mawan and dozens more, with over 1,500 pieces in its permanent collection.
The facility has been in operation since 1984 and provides an arts space occupying 11,980 sq ft.
Those interested in attending will find the venue located on the first floor of the Science Centre of the Sabah Museum, off Penampang Road.
