Pamela L. Quinones Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Dentistry

    ROCKVILLE, MD, March 13, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pamela L. Quinones, Registered Dental Hygienist and President of Hygiene Associates, Inc. and The American Dental Hygienists' Association, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in dentistry.

After working as a hygienist in a private dental practice for 10 years, Ms. Quinones identified the need for a referral service for dental hygienists. In 1983, she established Hygiene Associates, Inc., a dental employment referral service serving the Washington, DC and Baltimore metropolitan areas, as well as Northern Virginia and the state of Maryland. Her company refers dental professionals to individual dental facilities for employment on a temporary and permanent basis and provides on-site continuing education services. As president, Ms. Quinones utilizes her leadership skills to oversee all daily operations, including marketing, teaching continuing education workshops and interviewing and referring dental hygienists to dentists who are determined to be a good match.

In addition to her work with Hygiene Associates, Inc., Ms. Quinones is the president of The American Dental Hygienists' Association, the largest national organization representing the professional interests of dental hygienists across the U.S. Ms. Quinones attributes her success to passion for her profession and to her leadership skills.

Ms. Quinones holds a Bachelor of Science in dental hygiene from West Liberty University. She has received numerous formal recognitions for her efforts, including the Symbol of Excellence award from the Maryland Dental Hygienists' Association, ADHA Distinguished Service Award and an award from Who's Who of Women Executives. Looking toward the future, Ms. Quinones plans to continue growing her business. She aims to become involved in oral health disparities and work towards providing more access to oral health care.
