LateRooms.com - Cast Set for Birmingham Show

    BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND, March 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Reunited indie rockers Cast are due to play live at Birmingham's O2 Academy next month.
 
The band, who reformed in 2010 after a lengthy hiatus and recently released their first album since 2001, will perform at the venue on Thursday April 5th.
 
Fans will get a chance to hear songs from the group's new LP Troubled Times, which was released earlier this month and features production from the legendary John Leckie.
 
Cast are also likely to play a selection of classic tracks from their back catalogue, which includes the likes of Alright, Sandstorm, Walkaway, Free Me and Beat Mama.
 
The band originally formed in 2002 after John Power left The La's and Peter Wilkinson stopped performing with Shack.
 
Power switched from bass to rhythm guitar to front Cast, with Wilkinson handling bass duties. They were joined by Liam "Skin" Tyson on guitar and drummer Keith O'Neill.
 
Tickets for the show in Birmingham are available online, priced at GBP20 plus booking fee. Support will be provided by local band Looca.
