The giants of heavy metal are due to perform at the Czech capital's Synot Tip Arena on Monday May 7th, when they will play their classic self-titled album from 1991 in its entirety.
 
Known by fans as The Black Album, the 12-track LP includes songs such as Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, Sad but True and The Unforgiven.
 
It sold more than 25 million copies worldwide and saw Metallica reach a wider audience following the heavy thrash metal of previous albums such as Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets.
 
The California-based group are set to perform the record in full at several shows across Europe this summer, including their appearance at the UK's Download festival in June.
 
Tickets for the Prague show, which is set to begin at 17:00 local time, are priced between 1,490 and 2,490 Czech koruna (GBP50.70 and GBP84.70).
 
Support will be provided by French heavy metal band Gojira, who are set to release the follow-up to their 2008 album The Way of All Flesh this year.
