DALLAS, TX, March 26, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As the Dallas Arts District continues to grow and reshape northern downtown Dallas, the new Dallas Marriott City Center introduces Centric, the latest addition to the restaurant scene - a hotspot within walking distance of the AT&T Performing Arts Center, the Meyerson Symphony Center, the Dallas Museum of Art and more.
Located at 650 N. Pearl St. at the Plaza of the Americas, the upscale restaurant features a Texas eclectic menu by Executive Chef Yoni Heredia, with fresh ingredients sourced from local producers including Dallas' Mozzarella Company, Jimmy's Food Store and the Dallas Farmers Market.
The restaurant offers full breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Breakfast dishes such as braised short rib hash and cage-free fried eggs in a flaky pastry shell with poblano hollandaise or crunchy corn flake-crusted French toast, offer regional flare. Lunch features local favorites like sausage flatbread made with Jimmy's famous handmade sausage or a tomato & Dallas mozzarella panini. Chef-crafted daily soup specials are made with local, seasonal ingredients.
At dinner, guests can enjoy meat, fish and chicken dishes including mesquite BBQ cedar-planked salmon with roasted local fingerling potatoes, chipotle shrimp and grits with organic tomatoes and peppers, or Brazos Valley parmesan-battered chicken breast with wilted organic arugula, capers and tomatoes. Private dining with seating for 12 is also available.
The stylish yet casual bar at Centric features local and regional flights of beer, including St. Arnold's, Franconia and Real Ale; 20 wines by the glass; and fresh-squeezed craft cocktails such as "Texas Blues," made with muddled blueberry, mint, Bacardi Limon and lavender scent. The bar menu includes gourmet burgers, sliders, sandwiches, flatbreads and appetizers - perfect for a quick pre-theater bite or to enjoy during a game on the bar's wide-screen TVs.
The restaurant, which is part of a $14.5 million renovation of the hotel developed by internationally recognized Dallas firm Duncan Miller Ullman Design, invites guests in from the open lobby and carries the artistic, Texas design theme of the hotel inside.
"Centric is ideal for downtown business entertaining as well as for a relaxing, elegant meal for visitors to the vibrant Arts District," said Dallas Marriott City Center General Manager Nour Laasri. "Because this is our first Marriott in downtown Dallas, we wanted to create an enticing atmosphere and menu in keeping with the area's high standards for dining and entertaining."
Complimentary valet parking is available for restaurant guests. Centric's daily hours are 6:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. The bar at Centric serves food from 2-11 p.m. and is open until midnight daily.
