COPPELL, TX, April 02, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Business Plus, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing, announced today that it has acquired North American rights to publish ORGANIZATION WITH HEART by The Container Store Chairman and CEO, Kip Tindell. The book will be published in Fall 2013.
ORGANIZATION WITH HEART takes an intimate look at the underlying philosophy and passion behind the hugely successful and much loved retailer--included in FORTUNE Magazine's list of "100 Best Companies to Work For" 13 years running--outlining the company's seven Foundation Principles and adherence to the tenets of Conscious Capitalism.
Rick Wolff, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of Business Plus, said, "The Container Store is that rare jewel of a business that is not only extremely popular and successful, but thanks to Kip Tindell's vision, his company truly personifies all the right things that everyone -- including employees and customers -- want in a terrific organization. The Container Store is a win-win for all involved, and we're thrilled to have the opportunity to publish Kip's book."
Kip said, "We are thrilled to work on this exciting project with such a best-in-class team. I truly believe the world is primed and ready to change the way it views and approaches the way it does business - balancing the needs of all of an organization's stakeholders, in truly total transparency. Our book will share how it's worked for The Container Store and will show and tell the stories of employees, customers, vendors and other stakeholders behind our beloved brand. And because I think business and life are so tightly woven - it will be a book that everyone can enjoy and hopefully will apply to every aspect of their life. Our goal is that the book will have readers identify with our brand even more, and will make them feel much of the same pride and passion for being a part of The Container Store that our employees feel."
Wolff negotiated the deal with Neeti Madan at Sterling Lord Literistic. The book will be co-written with award-winning journalist Paul Keegan.
