Specialty Hospital of Washington - Capitol Hill's Chief Nursing Officer Appointed President of District of Columbia Organization of Nurse Executives

    WASHINGTON, DC, April 12, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Specialty Hospital Of Washington (SHW) announced that its Chief Nursing and Clinical Officer, Delores Clair RN, MHA, CNAA, BC, has been appointed for a two year term as the President of the District of Columbia Organization of Nurse Executives (DCONE).

DCONE is a non-profit organization established exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes. Membership consists of nurse leaders in a variety of key positions throughout the District of Columbia, representing most acute care hospitals and numerous other healthcare entities in the District of Columbia.

Ms. Clair has an extensive background in healthcare administration and is known for her leadership and visionary thinking. She has been a registered nurse for more than 30 years and has held executive positions at hospitals including Vice President of Nursing, Patient Safety Officer, Director for Medical Surgical Nursing, and has provided consultative services to hospitals preparing for Joint Commission Accreditation.
