Parkhurst, CHP, SMP, Health Practitioner, and Business Owner of The Body Organica, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in Nutrition & Wellness. Ms. Parkhurst has over 3 decades experience in nutrition and wellness and over 14 years in structural bodywork. Her area of expertise is working with active clients whose wish is to maintain an active lifestyle at all ages and stages, assisting them in getting out of pain and doing what they love to do. She particularly enjoys unraveling the psychology behind what causes stress and dysfunction and offering nutritional advice when warranted; a wholistic approach that gets powerful results. She addresses specific pathologies, painful complaints and movement dysfunctions, having one-on-one sessions with clients, using powerful assessment tools for a highly effective treatment plan, discovering what clients hope to achieve and what she can do to help, analyzing clients' diets and the causes of stress, providing clients with education and resources so that they may return to their everyday lives with alignment, awareness, ease and vitality.

Ms. Parkhurst has been working with active families since 1998. She specializes in structural medicine and has a background in Hellerwork Structural Integration. She attributes her success to the extremely high quality teaching and coaching she has received over the years as well as the integrity of the modalities she has chosen. She also credits her parents and family with their unwavering love and support throughout her lifetime, her faith and a resulting positive, persistent, optimistic perspective! She also has an unwavering motivation to make a difference in the world that has allowed her to meet and work with like minded people / volunteers who, in her words, always make her look so good!

She became involved in her profession when, as an avid athlete she sustained two ACL (knee) injuries playing soccer. She experienced chronic pain, which was not alleviated in spite of myriad efforts and trying various techniques and modalities. She was later involved in a minor car accident which caused further pain and became the impetus to seek treatment. A friend recommended she see a Hellerwork practitioner, which changed her life. As a result, she immersed herself in the Hellerwork training and graduated in 1998. She also studied with Donna Bajelis of the Institute of Structural Medicine for 4
years. Ms. Bajelis is a master teacher and extraordinarily gifted therapist/ practitioner whose work has revolutionized the structural bodywork industry and, as Ms. Parkhurst states, has taken her private practice to a highly effective level.

Ms. Parkhurst has been a Certified Hellerwork Practitioner via Hellerwork International for most of the years since her graduation in 1998 and graduated from the Institute of Structural Medicine in 2010. She is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada Association. She has also been involved with Landmark Education since 2001 as well as the Canadian chapter of eWomenNetwork more recently.

Christina is also the Founder and Event Coordinator for The Christmas Spirit Community Dinner, an event that has been near and dear to her heart since its inception in 1991. For 22 years, through financial and hands on support of her local community, she and over 250 volunteers (Mighty Elves) have provided a hot turkey feast and miraculous Christmas Day for over 900 guests per year primarily single parent families and their children most of whom would go without if not for the CSCD's immense efforts and commitment. Her work netted her the Volunteer Award for Outstanding Philanthropy from the Philanthropic Day Society in 2011. She was also the Top Runner-up for the "Miracle on Your Street" Concept by American Express.

Ms. Parkhurst's next goal is to start teaching and expanding the services of The Body Organica to include e-commerce, articles, recipes and the latest in health related information. She loves the one on one experience her clinic provides however she recognizes its limitations. She is considering opening a larger clinic offering various modalities, a juice / tonic / elixir bar and movement classes. She also aspires to conduct satellite classes in various studios and provide telesummit classes internationally. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and being with her children, walking her dog, spending time with friends and family, great movies, cooking, exploring new cafes, the ocean, swimming, working with a personal trainer and her ongoing love of learning. Whether it be immersing herself in a new book, keeping up with the latest science of nutrition and well being, taking a class on how to make paint furniture or on how to prepare raw chocolate - you will find her likely with a smile on her face feeling blessed and grateful for her life.
