    WINCHESTER, ENGLAND, April 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Winchester Film Festival returns on Tuesday May 8th, bringing a programme of classic movie screenings to the Hampshire town.

According to the organisers, the aim of the event is to show great films in atmospheric and unusual locations around Winchester.

Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men will be screened at Winchester Crown Court to heighten the tension of the 1957 legal drama starring Hendry Fonda.

Meanwhile, the Great Hall on Castle Avenue has been chosen to show Young Frankenstein, the 1974 musical comedy by Mel Brooks.

Other films in the programme for this year's festival include Brief Encounter, Speed and Junior Bonner.

There will also be an all-night 'Zombiethon' at the University of Winchester on Monday May 14th, with classic zombie movies screened from 20:00 BST to 08:00 the next morning.

Tickets for screenings can be reserved online, priced at GBP5 plus booking fee. The festival is due to run until Saturday May 19th.
