Susan Sullivan Establishes herself as a Prominent Purchaser for the Government

    CHICAGO, IL, April 24, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susan A. Sullivan, Purchasing Agent for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the United States Department of Labor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in purchasing.

Having established her career with the United States Department of Labor as a temporary clerk typist, Ms. Sullivan never expected to embark on a 31-year-long professional tenure adorned with achievements, proficiencies and gratification. After shaping an expertise in purchasing, she was promoted to her current position, where she is charged with sourcing, coordinating with suppliers, and generating orders.

By keeping herself active, Ms. Sullivan has taught herself the discipline needed to be successful. She earned an Associate of Arts in business from Prairie State College, as well as a career achievement award for 30 years of service. She is active in the church choir and other duties of the church. She is also active in learning taekwondo and continues working towards achieving the rank of first degree black belt. She was a two-time recipient of perseverance awards and at the end of 2010 received a Survivor Award for her ability to carry on despite hardships in learning taekwondo. In her free time, she enjoys going to the movies, and attending live theater and Broadway shows.
