Liposuction Innovations Will Cause Popularity to Rebound, Surgeon Predicts

Even though there has been a nationwide drop in the use of liposuction in recent years, the number of liposuction procedures performed in the United States rose slightly in 2011. Liposuction was the third most common cosmetic procedure in the United States last year - behind breast augmentation and nose reshaping. Recent statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons show the popularity of liposuction had decreased 42% since 2000, but it increased by 1% between 2010 and 2011.
