Frances Rooney Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Fire Safety

    LOUGHLINSTOWN, IRELAND, April 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Frances Rooney, Managing Director of Firepro, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in fire safety.

Ms. Rooney is a self-motivated woman who has been establishing herself within male-dominated fields for over 25 years. In 1982 she was one of the first females to venture into the truck sales industry in Ireland, and attributes her continuing success to her pride and determination. Currently, she serves as the managing director of Firepro, a fire protection company. Ms. Rooney set up the Irish branch from scratch and built it up to being one of the leading companies in its field. Ms Rooney worked as Irish branch manager for the Firepro UK parent company from 2005 to 2010. In January 2010 Frances bought out the Irish branch and became managing director in Ireland and is responsible for collaborating with architects, quantity surveyors and main contractors. Additionally, she manages the day to day running of the business with the input of well trained employees both in the office and on site. Evaluating projects ie: hospitals, hotels (such as the famous Shelbourne Hotel), cinemas, colleges (such as renowned Trinity College) shopping malls, bars (including 02 Arena, a well known venue) factories and many more. When fire stopping works are carried out and completed on these projects a fire certificate is issued and signed off by Frances. Previously, Ms. Rooney worked for the Noxell Corporation and has had extensive experience in various industries, including modelling, promotions, truck sales, finance, water machines, recruitment and floristry. She attended the Irish Management Institute and holds a HGV license. She remains current with fire policies and procedures as a member of ASFP and Warringtonfire.
