Italian Car Warranty Issue Online Forum Opens

Message board to allow owners to share Ferrari warranty service experiences and those from other marques

FORT WORTH, TX, May 03, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When the linguini is not right or the service stinks at a local Italian joint, today's diners take to review sites like Yelp and Urban Spoon. The Internet has made it possible for consumers to share their customer service stories, reward excellent service and draw attention to poor service.

"There are lots of review sites that create communities where buyers of products can rate service and exchange stories," says Rodney Ross. "Italian Car Warranty Issues.com is a site where sports car owners can learn which companies and dealerships are doing the best job handling warranty issues and serving owners," said Ross.

Although the site is primarily for sports cars traditionally associated with Italy - Lamborghini, Maserati, Ferrari - owners who have a good or bad warranty service story about a sports car are welcome to comment or start a new thread. Threads are moderated. The site seeks factual accounts about sports car warranty issues.

The site already has a number of posts about warranty issues, including the featured post by a Fort Worth commercial real estate developer and business consultant, Ron Sturgeon, who purchased a new $300,000 Ferrari 458 and received poor warranty service from Ferrari. When the hood latch on his Ferrari began to stick, he took the car to Boardwalk Ferrari in Plano, TX and was flabbergasted when they refused to replace the $2500 latch mechanism and implied that he had damaged it.

Sturgeon found that appealing that decision required contacting reps at Ferrari customer care, who denied his claim by e-mail, though he was unable to communicate with a real person. He enlisted an automotive engineer to analyze the damage and provided a report to Ferrari, but the car maker still refused to pay for the repair. His bizarre email communications as well as the engineer's report are posted with his gripe. "Even if I agreed with the denial of my Ferrari warranty claim, I would still be stunned at how hard they made it to talk to a real person and how little English the person who replied to my emails about the warranty issue knew," Sturgeon says.

The site http://www.italiancarwarrantyissues.com is the place for owners to share their factual warranty stories in a moderated forum. The forum has threads for new Ferrari Warranty issues, used Ferrari warranty issues, Ferrari recalls, Ferrari service success stories and similar threads for other sports car manufacturers traditionally associated with Italy.
