Yves Rocher Launch New Range of Facial Skincare, Hydra Vegetal Designed to 'Quench Skin's Thirst'

French brand Yves Rocher has adopted this ethos, combining the Botanical saps from Canadian Maple Trees and Organic Blue Agave plants from Mexico, known for their moisture capturing benefits, with patented Betaine. The resulting unique combination has not only been found to be hydrating but these saps also contain correction potential when applied to the skin, toning up fine lines and dry areas. To be released this may; this new range of innovative products has been called Hydra Vegetal.

As is commonly reported, there are several things that can be done to keep skin moisturised and hydrated. As the skin is made up of 70% water, he believes that it is important for every woman to keep their skin hydrated so that it can function at its best. Mr. Ormancey says "a well hydrated skin is a skin that is smooth, radiant and replenished, it's also skin that is visibly younger, longer".

In formulating the Hydra Vegetal range, Mr. Ormancey identified that the Botanical sap from the Canadian Maple Tree and the Organic Blue Agave plants, combined them with Betaine and recognised that this exclusive combination of plant saps acts as a barrier that locks-in moisture deep inside the skin. Their composition of Osides, Minerals, Osmolytes and their ability to diffuse through the skins layers make them the perfect hydrating components. Thus, the Hydra range was born.

A 3-step facial skincare routine which involves cleansing, toning and moisturising was determined to be optimum for skincare results.

It starts with a cleanser, available in either a Hydrating Cleansing Milk or a Refreshing Gel Cleanser - both containing botanical-based ingredients for a deep clean. Yves Rocher recommends the Cleansing Milk for those who want to combine comfort with cleansing, and the Cleansing gel for those who enjoy the freshness of cleansing with water.

Cleansing is completed by using the Hydra Vegetal Toner, eliminating all traces of impurities and providing the skin with a healthy glow. Using a toner can sometimes be considered as unnecessary, but utilising it in this way prepares the skin for further care and is a key ingredient for moisture absorption during the final stage, whilst also leaving it with a healthy glow.
The final phase of hydration, step 3, involves moisturising, where Yves Rocher provides four different methods of moisturising to choose from to help meet the challenges of caring for various skin types.

This moisturising range includes a 24 hour Intense Hydrating Gel Cream to thoroughly drench skin for lasting hydration and is perfect for normal/combination skin types. Then there is the Moisture Boost Concentrate which provides an extra powerful hydrating solution, boosting hydration in the first application by up to 104%*. This product can be applied morning and evening over seven days for an intensive hydrating treatment, or it can be used alone when needing an immediate boost - leaving skin revitalised and radiant.

Then, for the more mature skin, the Instant Anti-Wrinkle Moisturiser targets moisturisation to the wrinkle prone areas, soothing the wrinkles and hydrating the skin. Lastly, the 24 hour Rich Hydrating Cream offers intense and lasting hydration for normal to dry skin, proving incomparable comfort to the skin. These different moisturising products can be used individually or to complement each other, depending on skin types and needs.
