SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tim Roseborough, a nationally recognized artist inspired by Keith Haring, began his Manhattan exhibition, "A Puzzling Display" on May 1st at the New Art Center in New York City.
In the mid 2000's Roseborough contemplated ending his own life, but was inspired by Keith Haring's story of resilience in the face of AIDS and his individuality. His exhibition, "A Puzzling Display" pays ode to Haring's passion for innovation.
The show's catalogue was written by globally recognized New York Times and Artforum contributor, Steven Watson.
"A Puzzling Display" is also based upon Roseborough's online game (www.apuzzlingdisplay.com) where participants test their arts and culture knowledge.
The show features Roseborough's limited edition prints that translate each online puzzle into a hieroglyphic - like writing system called "Englyph," thus entitled "A Puzzling Display."
With an aim of blurring the distinction between fine art and diversion, Roseborough's virtual artwork incorporates interactivity, video, sound art, and computer animation to create an innovative look at art and culture.
The dates of the exhibition are May 1-19, 2012 at the New Art Center in New York City.
The accompanying online game began at 8am EDT on May 1, 2012 and ends at 11:59pm EDT on May 20th, 2012. The top scores of the online game will be awarded signed prints from Roseborough's exhibition valued at $1,000.00 per piece.
