SAN JOSE, CA, May 16, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What if the path to financial prosperity was as simple as learning a new set of skills, like driving a car or making friends on Facebook? This is the approach of a new nonprofit, the Center for Positive Prosperity. Using a program called CLEAR, they teach people a step-by-step approach to moving from their current financial condition to positive prosperity. Sandi Smith Leyva, co-founder of the Institute for Positive Prosperity, has a highly unusual set of skills herself; she's a CPA, and she has a degree in brain science try finding that combination anywhere else.
"CLEAR stands for Clarity, Literacy, Emotional Resilience, Action and Responsibility," says Sandi Smith Leyva, co-founder of the Institute for Positive Prosperity. "The unique difference with this program; is we focus on the emotional aspect of money and the subconscious fears we associate with it. We combine recent discoveries in brain science, such as plasticity and epigenetics with traditional financial literacy, and we get quantum leaps instead of incremental progress. The combination allows us to truly empower women and men in need to finally change and create financial success."The CLEAR program is very timely, as the statistics for impoverished single moms are quite staggering. Single mother-headed households make up nearly one-quarter of California's poor. Also, nearly twice as many women die in poverty than men. Last, eighty three percent of women in a classes are stressed due to money; affecting the health of the entire family, including the kids.
