Only ten of the large super-yachts were constructed between 1930 and 1937, with one of them owned by King George V.

"Spectators in Falmouth will be the first in the UK to view this wonderful fleet," said David Pitman of the J-Class Association.

"Enthusiasts from around the world will be coming to Falmouth to view the yachts and watch the racing," he added.

The races are due to take place in Falmouth Bay and along the coastline, with the surrounding headlands providing spectators with the perfect view.
