SEATTLE, WA, May 29, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Due to multiple events taking place at Seattle's CenturyLink Field Event Center in November, Pacific Marine Expo, for the first time in many years, will be held after Thanksgiving, from Tuesday, November 27, through Thursday, November 29. Show hours will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday.
"If you are an exhibitor who also exhibits at the International WorkBoat Show and have concerns about your freight getting to New Orleans, we have a solution," said Bob Callahan, Expo Show Director from Diversified Business Communications, which produces both shows. "Please contact your sales representative for more assistance."
Callahan expects exhibitor space to again sell out. "Last year, we filled the entire exhibit hall with over 400 exhibitors, an increase of 13% over 2010, and we attracted 8,550 visitors from 40 states and 17 countries," said Callahan.
Registration opens in June for the 2012 Pacific Marine Expo, the largest and longest running commercial marine tradeshow on the West Coast. The Expo serves all aspects of the market, including commercial vessels owners, commercial fishermen, boat builders, workboat operators and seafood processors.
If you are interested in exhibiting, contact Chris Dimmerling, Sales Manager, [email protected] or (207) 842-5666. For exhibitor information, visit http://www.pacificmarineexpo.com/en/exhibit.
Conference Program Call for Proposals and Speakers
One of the Expo's highlights is the free conference program, which in 2012 will include industry tracks on commercial fishing, processing, charter boats, workboat, boat building and safety.
Diversified Business Communications is currently seeking topics for conference sessions and recommended speakers. Issues currently affecting or that will affect the industry within a year of the Expo will be given the highest preference as conference topics. Expo conference organizers are not seeking product demonstrations or sales presentations.
The deadline for submitting topics for conference sessions and recommended speakers is June 29, 2012.
For more information, contact Vianna DiGristina, Conference Coordinator, at (207) 842-5583 or via e-mail at [email protected].
Special Events
The last day of the Expo will feature the National Fisherman Profitable Harvest, a half day conference program that will focus on fuel management, at the CenturyLink Field Event Center. The conference will include a breakfast with the editors of the National Fisherman magazine along with presentations from industry professionals. Profitable Harvest is open to all commercial fisherman for a $50 registration fee. Program details and registration information will be available this summer.
The Expo will also include the Second Annual Boatyard Day, where National Fisherman and WorkBoat magazine celebrate the boatbuilding industry with a series of special events honoring excellence in boat design, construction and gear for the commercial fishing industry.
Other events will include an Author's Corner and Bookstore, the popular Fisherman of the Year Contest and the Happy Hour in the Beer Garden sponsored by ZF Marine. Each happy hour will feature a prize drawing for a pair of Seahawk's tickets. The raffle ticket will be chosen by a Seahawk's cheerleader, who will also be signing autographs.
"Year after year, the Expo has proven to be the premier event for the West Coast maritime industry," Callahan said. "Visitors can see hundreds of suppliers and negotiate face-to-face. It gives the industry the opportunity to meet with the experts, check out new products and catch up with old friends - all in one place."
