3rd Annual Awards Ceremony for Shorts Showcase

    BEVERLY HILLS, CA, May 25, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Shorts Showcase, in its third year, will host its Awards Ceremony once again at The Camelot Theatres in Palm Springs, Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 starting at 6pm. Shorts Showcase airs on PBS station KVCR, on Tuesday evenings at 10:30 pm and again on Friday evenings at 12:30 am (Sat morn) in 18 million homes throughout the 5 Southern California counties of Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and North County San Diego, and on their website at www.shortsshowcase.com.

Entering its second season on PBS, the half hour one-of-a kind TV show brings festival quality short films from all over the world right to your living room and features exclusive interviews from top industry producers, directors, actors, casting agents and more! The show also hosts Insider Tips, providing quality information on tools of the filmmaking trade from industry pros.

Filmmaker, Christian Sesma, hosts the show. "Christian is a perfect example of the indie filmmaker. He started making short films and has now made several features. We are delighted to have this innovative, dedicated and really fun filmmaker for our show!" said Leanna Bonamici the Creator and Producer of Shorts Showcase, under the CV Studios Entertainment banner.

Viewers are invited to VOTE online for their favorite films. The Awards Ceremony is the culmination of these top-voted films. The audience, both at The Camelot and watching the live stream are the judges, texting their votes after the films are screened. All votes will be received for a short period of time.

Votes tabulated during Q&A with several of the nominated filmmakers present and the winner(s) announced and awarded on site. The evening ends with a Wrap Party at Lulu's California Bistro in downtown Palm Springs. The Shorts Showcase Awards ceremony is being taped for future episodes on PBS.
