WATERTOWN, MA, June 5, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bettina Elliott, Owner of Beliot Press, was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
With 22 years of experience as the owner of Beliot Press, Ms. Elliott creates innovative and effective PowerPoint presentations in order to help health care professionals, students, and education and legal professionals by assessing their needs. She works in the education field assisting faculty with course organization, preparing resumes, and editing student papers, manuscripts for Ph.D. dissertations, and master's theses. She was also a foreign language teacher, for 20 years, and has done some translations from German to English. She attributes her success to her reputation as always being prompt, precise and courteous, and to always setting a fair price for her services. She became involved in her current profession through interest. She was curious how computers worked and decided to learn on her own and put the knowledge gained to use as an independent contractor.
A two-year project (part-time) to transcribe over 200 largely hand-written sermons of some 50 to 60 years ago into a modern format was a labor of special interest and required scrupulous attention to detail and a willingness to research some biblical texts on the Internet.
Initially, Ms. Elliott advertised locally, but found that word-of-mouth was a very effective PR and advertising medium.
Ms. Elliott received a Master of Education for Professional Teachers of Foreign Languages from Harvard University. She is a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society and Phi Kappa Phi. In years to come, Ms. Elliott hopes to retain her good health and enthusiasm, and plans to acquire additional clients.
