    TAIPEI, TAIWAN, June 07, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Australian alternative rock act The Jezabels will take to the stage in Taipei next month to promote the release of their debut album Prisoner.

The record, which has already been certified gold in Australia, will go on sale across south-east Asia in June. It includes the lead single Endless Summer, as well as the quiet and reflective Peace of Mind and the uplifting pop track Deep Wide Ocean.

Describing the LP, singer Hayley Mary said: "The lyrics are set out as a letter to a prisoner. To a certain extent the album explores the idea of looking at yourself as a prisoner and asking about the reasons for that."

The band will perform at The Wall in Taipei on June 17th, with tickets priced at 700 new Taiwan dollars (GBP15) in advance and 900 new Taiwan dollars on the door.

Earlier this year, The Jezabels were part of the People's Party concert series in Asia, alongside Bombay Bicycle Club, Metronomy and The Naked & Famous.

They are regulars on the Australian live circuit, having played at some of the country's top festivals, including Big Day Out and Pyramid Rock.
