With the installation of a new, state-of-the-art i-CAT Precise imaging machine, Dr. Michael Hrankowski and Edmonds Woodway Dental Care are offering to the first eight people who call a free CAT Scan and Dental Implant Consultation, a $350 value, on Friday, June 22.
"It is rare that a general dental practice would make the investment to have a CAT Scan machine," Dr. Hrankowski said. "But we believe this is an investment in our patient's health, safety and well-being."
Dr. Hrankowski said the free CAT Scan and Dental Implant Consultation will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Patients should plan to spend approximately 45 minutes at the practice, which is located at 6100 219th St SW, Suite 530, in Mountlake Terrace, Washington.
To reserve your appointment, please call (425) 354-5886.
Dr. Hrankowski, who has more than 25 years of experience, noted that implants are placed in the neighborhood of nerves, blood vessels and sinuses. He said the scan will help show where vital structures are so implants can be placed as safely as possible. "It's also great in identifying other pathology," Dr. Hrankowski said. "For example, a recent study found that 35% of sinus infections have an abscessed tooth as their origin. A scan will show this, whereas a standard x-ray won't give us this vital information."
He added that the CAT Scan will help TMJ patients by evaluating the health of jaws and also examining the airways of sleep apnea patents.
"We are very proud of this new service," Dr. Hrankowski said. "This award-winning and safe CAT Scan machine will help us complete complex procedures more quickly and successfully, all with greater patient safety."
Dental Implants
Dental Implants are a permanent solution to replace a single missing tooth, several teeth, or all a patient's teeth. Dental implants provide comfort and stability, and offer the same biting force as natural teeth. Dr. Hrankowski said dental implants offer a number of benefits:
- Permanent solution - Unlike dentures and bridges which may require replacement, dental implants can last a lifetime.
- Natural and Durable - Dental implants offer the same biting force as natural teeth because the dental implants are anchored in the bone.
- Highly Successful - Dental implants are one of the most successful options available for replacing missing teeth. After decades of clinical research, the success rate for dental implants is around 95% (with proper hygiene).
- Anchor for Bridge or Denture - Dental implants can stabilize your bridge or denture, enhancing comfort and function. Dentures or bridges which are anchored by dental implants are easily removed for cleaning and easily re-attached.
- Saves Healthy Neighboring Teeth - Adjacent teeth aren't altered or harmed when dental implants are used to replace missing teeth.
- Easily Maintained - Dental implants can be brushed and flossed like natural teeth.
