A 16-year veteran of the health care field, Ms. Kitchel has gained a thorough appreciation of good communication. It is an indispensable part of her work at Hillcrest Healthcare Cushing, where she served as clinical data coordinator from 1996 through 2007. Specializing in inpatient coding, she implements a collaborative atmosphere as she works as an inpatient coder, abstracts medical records, works with physicians, solves inpatient queries, and provides assistance to other departments. Ms. Kitchel has spent majority of her career in health care at Hillcrest and is proud of her long association with the organization. She attributes her success to her husband, education and the support of her managers.

Ms. Kitchel became a certified coding specialist in 2000 and a registered health information technician in 1991. She is a member of the Office of Health Information Systems and the American Health Information Management Association.
