MACAU, June 13, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Macau is preparing to once again host the popular International Youth Dance Festival this July, with talented young dancers from around the world set to participate.
Organised biennially by the local education and youth affairs bureau, the latest edition of the event will run from July 20th to 26th and is set to be one of Macau's biggest international festivals.
Each of the participating dance groups is made up of performers aged between 15 and 29 years of age.
Highlights include a parade through the city at 17:30 local time on July 21st, followed by artistic performance workshops at the Luis Gonzaga Gomes Luso-Chinese Secondary School from 09:00 on July 22nd.
The remainder of the programme consists of indoor and outdoor performances at various Macau venues, offering dancers the chance to display their diverse styles, while also forging strong community bonds.
This year's festival aims to build on the success of the 2010 event, which involved eight local dance groups, as well as 13 overseas organisations from nations such as Australia, the US, Canada, Singapore, Turkey and the UK.
