Prestigious World Superyacht Awards Honours YPI

    MONACO, June 13, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In an awards ceremony that honours only the world's most innovative, influential and artistic examples of superyacht design and creation, it is unsurprising that YPI have yachts shortlisted.

Following on from last year's success with M/Y MARY-JEAN ll winning her group, YPI was delighted to announce earlier this year that two of their luxury yachts were voted Award Finalists at this year's show.

Hosted in the magnificent Ciragan Palace Kempinski alongside the Bosphorus strait that overlooks the ancient city of Istanbul, the World Superyacht Awards is thought of as being the 'Oscars' for the superyacht world.

YPI CEO, Bertrand Vogele attended this year's event.

This year's two YPI Award Finalists are -

M/Y TATIANA - Finalist in the Three-Deck Semi Displacement or Planning Motor Yachts group - is a 45m Bilgin built luxury yacht for sale exclusively through YPI. Designed by renowned German designer Joachim Kinder, she embodies sleek design whilst also providing comfort and space both above and below deck. Large windows allow light to flood into her stylishly appointed interiors whilst providing glorious views out.

M/Y LIBERTY - Finalist in the Displacement Motor Yacht of below 500GT - was launched from the Italian shipyard ISA in May 2011. At 50m LIBERTY conveys a sense of power and speed that does not disappoint and is capable of speeds in excess of 15 knots. Her interior design is contemporary and striking yet comfortable. LIBERTY can accommodate up to 12 guests and 10 crew and is available for super yacht charter from 235,000EUR per week this summer.

Unfortunately YPI could not improve on last year's win with both LIBERTY and TATIANA being pipped to the their titles by their competitors. However to simply be nominated out of the thousands of yachts on the market is an achievement in itself and one that YPI is extremely proud of.
