Covington Who's Who Selects John H. Vogel as an Executive Member of the Executive and Professional Registry

    HOLLYWOOD, FL, June 17, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- John H. Vogel, a Partner at Patton Boggs, has been selected as an Executive Member of the Covington Who's Who Executive and Professional Registry. The selection recognizes John H. Vogel's commitment to excellence in Law.

Vogel, who began working as a lawyer in New York in 1969, studied at Princeton University, the University of Michigan Law School, and served as an intern with a Fulbright fellowship in Belgium in the legal section of the European Union.

In 1971, Vogel began working for his current law firm, practicing corporate and real estate finance, and capital markets transactions. With clients that include large and medium-sized multi-national companies whom he assists in structuring cross-border international project financings and other transactions, Vogel navigates complex laws and regulations of many countries.

"As a corporate attorney, I have developed an expertise in financial structures, both conventional and Islamic, for multi-national transactions," Vogel explained. My work with contracts and agreements of all kinds has strengthened my ability to work with clients, and, in particular, my pro-bono clients on whose boards I sit."

Vogel is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown University Law School, teaching one of his specialty practice areas, Islamic finance.

Having studied European and global history and politics, and public and private international law, Vogel has acquired a lasting impression with respect to the way in which countries and people react to and interface with others. He has traveled extensively, speaks several foreign languages, and has always enjoyed interacting with individuals from other countries and cultures. He is a member of numerous organizations, serves on the board of directors for the Fulbright Association, and has served as director and officer for various non-profit organizations. He has participated in numerous panels in the US and abroad, including at the Federal Reserve Board in New York, the International Bar Association, and the Luxembourg Financial Forum.
